Been busy working on some custom pieces the last couple of months-so much so, that I have seriously slacked on posting. This piece was done in brown India ink and watercolors and was 36×40 inches.
I have never drawn an image of Buddha before….
This is one of my favorite parts of the piece….

I don’t think I am very “retro,” but I like Anthropologie a lot. I consider myself “indie.” It sounds very rock star-ish. I wish I was a rock star….anyways, maybe I’ll wear one of my Anthropologie dresses.
So far, this year has been keeping me busy with commissioned pieces. I finally realized that I should blog about them. I have 2 in the works right now…. One is a large piece (26″x40″) and the other is a beautiful tattoo for a young mother. So excited about both! I will keep you posted

I’m getting ready for the “Island of Misfit Toys” live art show. I have done some research and have figured out why the sad Dolly for Sue is on the Island for Misfits. Apparently she is emotionally damaged due to the fact that she has been rejected. Sue no longer loves her…. Beautiful but emotionally damaged.
